Speedztar – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Speedztar. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the services provided by Speedztar. By accessing our website, booking a service, or engaging with our technicians, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using our services.

1. About Speedztar

Speedztar provides doorstep and workshop-based laptop and computer repair, maintenance, diagnostics, upgrades, software support, networking solutions, and related technical services. Certain repairs may be completed at the customer's location, while others may require the device to be transported to our service facility.

2. Booking a Service

By requesting a service, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian.

  • You are the lawful owner of the device or have the owner's authorization.

  • The information provided during booking is accurate and complete.

  • You authorize Speedztar to inspect, diagnose, and repair the device based on your approval.

3. Inspection & Diagnosis

Every device is subject to an initial inspection and diagnosis.

While we strive to identify all faults during diagnosis, certain issues may only become apparent after the repair process begins. If additional work or replacement parts are required, we will seek your approval before proceeding.

A diagnosis does not guarantee that the device is repairable.

4. Quotations & Pricing

Repair quotations are based on the information available during diagnosis.

Should additional faults be identified after the repair has commenced, a revised estimate may be provided. No additional work will be undertaken without your consent.

Prices are subject to change based on component availability and market conditions.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Backing up all personal and business data before handing over the device.

  • Removing confidential information where possible.

  • Providing passwords or login credentials only if required for testing or verification.

  • Informing Speedztar of any existing issues, previous repairs, accidental damage, liquid exposure, or modifications.

  • Removing accessories that are not required for the repair unless specifically requested.

6. Data Backup & Liability

Customers acknowledge that repair procedures may involve hardware replacement, software reinstallation, BIOS updates, firmware updates, storage diagnostics, or operating system recovery.

Speedztar does not guarantee the preservation, recovery, or protection of any data stored on a device.

Customers are solely responsible for creating and maintaining backups of all important files, photographs, emails, software, and other digital content before the repair begins.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speedztar shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Corruption of files

  • Software malfunction

  • Loss of licenses

  • Recovery failures

  • Business interruption resulting from data loss

7. Replacement Parts

Replacement parts may include:

  • Genuine manufacturer parts

  • OEM components

  • High-quality compatible components

depending on availability and customer preference.

Availability of specific parts cannot be guaranteed.

8. Warranty

Unless otherwise specified in writing, Speedztar provides a limited warranty only on the specific repair performed or the replacement component installed.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage

  • Liquid damage

  • Power surges

  • Electrical fluctuations

  • Accidental mishandling

  • Virus or malware infections

  • Software issues unrelated to the original repair

  • Customer-installed software or hardware

  • Damage caused after the repair has been completed

  • Normal wear and tear

The warranty becomes void if the device is opened, repaired, or modified by another service provider after Speedztar completes the repair.

9. Repairs Cannot Be Guaranteed

Electronic devices are complex systems.

Certain faults may be intermittent, progressive, or caused by multiple component failures.

While every reasonable effort will be made to repair your device, Speedztar does not guarantee that every repair will be successful.

10. Existing Damage

Devices may already contain cosmetic or structural damage before they are submitted for repair.

Speedztar shall not be held responsible for scratches, dents, cracked plastics, weakened hinges, damaged screws, worn components, or other pre-existing conditions.

Where reasonably possible, existing damage may be documented before service begins.

11. Manufacturer Warranty

Customers acknowledge that third-party repair services may affect or void the manufacturer's warranty.

It is the customer's responsibility to verify the status of any manufacturer warranty before authorizing repairs.

Speedztar shall not be liable for any loss of manufacturer warranty coverage.

12. Software & Licensing

Speedztar will only install legally licensed software.

We will not install pirated, cracked, unauthorized, or illegally obtained software under any circumstances.

Customers are responsible for providing valid software licenses where applicable.

13. Customer-Supplied Parts

Where customers provide replacement components, Speedztar cannot guarantee their quality, compatibility, or performance.

No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts.

Labour charges remain payable regardless of component performance.

14. Device Collection & Delivery

Customers are expected to collect their repaired devices or accept delivery within a reasonable period after notification.

Speedztar is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact information, customer unavailability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. Abandoned Devices

Devices that remain unclaimed for more than 60 days after the customer has been notified may incur storage charges.

If a device remains unclaimed despite reasonable attempts to contact the customer, Speedztar reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to recycle, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the device to recover storage or repair costs.

16. Payments

Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Speedztar reserves the right to retain possession of the repaired device until all outstanding invoices have been paid in full.

17. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Customers may cancel or reschedule service appointments by providing reasonable notice.

Speedztar reserves the right to charge a visit fee where technicians have already been dispatched or repeated last-minute cancellations occur.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Speedztar shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

  • Our total liability arising from any repair or service shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for that specific service.

  • We shall not be responsible for any loss of profits, business interruption, or consequential financial losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

19. Website Use

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, designs, software, and trademarks, is the intellectual property of Speedztar unless otherwise stated.

Users may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.

20. Privacy

Any personal information collected during bookings or service requests will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your information for the purpose of providing our services.

21. Force Majeure

Speedztar shall not be responsible for delays or failures resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, flood, pandemics, transportation disruptions, labour disputes, government restrictions, shortages of parts, or power failures.

22. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.

23. Changes to These Terms

Speedztar reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

The latest version published on our website shall apply to all future bookings and services.
